The problem with "real" places in books

So Twilight is set in Forks, Washington. I don't know if you remember Forks, Carole - on your very first trip out here when we did the whirlwind tour of Western Washington, we stayed there one night between visits to Hurricane Ridge and the Hoh Rainforest. There's not much in the way of roads out there - 101 circles the Olympic Peninsula with a few roads that spit off of it. I am at the start of Edward and Bella's big Saturday date and they just went north on 101 (good - that makes sense) and turned right on 110 - which doesn't exist. You can go left on 110 if you are going north on 101. But not right. It's a minor detail, but it's very bothersome to me!

I meant to say something about the fact that this was set in your neck of the woods. I don't remember staying in Forks, but, based on the headline of this post, I thought you were going to explain how you were now looking at people in your neighborhood suspiciously looking for vampire clans. Like that guy in Cupcake Royale the other day.. or the woman at the cool record store across the street... (cue creepy dramatic music here).
